Dear Friends of Art Palace,
In this week’s New York Times Magazine, there is an article titled “Lone Star Style,” which discusses art, design and architecture in Texas and features Art Palace as a prominent new gallery in Austin.
As Art Palace nears it’s first year anniversary, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your unwavering support.
When the gallery struggled to open its doors in the summer of 2005, I called on both old and new friends to help me build an unseen future. Everyone came through with more love and support than I could have imagined, resulting in an “Art Palace” that far exceeded my expectations. Again, I thank you.
Below are a few highlights from the past year that I’d like to share with you:
-In September ‘05, Art Palace joined Inman Gallery, Fluent-Collaborative, and Diverseworks at the 2nd Annual “Affair at The Jupiter Hotel” in Portland, Oregon. Portland Art News online claimed that they “would be hearing a lot more from Art Palace.”
-Art Palace was awarded “Best Gallery, Body of Work” by the Austin Critics Table for 2005.
-Art Palace collaborated with “The Blanton Museum of Art” for Eduardo Navarro’s “The Pod Show.”
-Most recently Art Palace was included in “Lone Star Style” by Cathy Horyn for The New York Times Magazine.
